Awkwafina

American actor and musician Awkwafina made her debut with humorous songs that dealt with racial identity and sexuality with boldly comedic perspective before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Alongside classical music and jazz, the young Nora began studying hip-hop in her teens. In her studies, she studied journalism as well as women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing for a time. When she graduated, she started to pursue music as her main focus. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also featured viral hit tracks like body positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$. The latter track connected directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she determined to pursue acting in a third project. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she released In Fina We Trust.
