Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been involved in the world of film as well as television. Her acting career started in the theater. She then appeared in various television series, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as numerous nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. Her debut on stage as Ariel, on the stage in The Tempest. She's appeared as a character on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry, she's best known for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In television, her role on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
