
Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22nd, 1975)[1] is an American actor as well as a producer, director, talk show host and author. She is part of the Barrymore acting family. She has been awarded numerous nominations and awards such as a Golden Globe Award as well as the Screen Actors Guild Award. There have also been nominations for seven Emmy Awards, and a British Academy Film Award. In 2004, she received an award on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was a well-known child actor due to her performance in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. After a difficult childhood, that was rife with alcohol and drug addiction, she wrote Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. She was a part of several films that were successful during the 1990s to 2000s, such as Charlie's Angels. Barrymore as well as Adam Sandler starred in the films The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates as well as Blended. Other films she has appeared in include Firestarter, Donnie Darko, Riding in Cars with Boys, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Fever Pitch, Music and Lyrics, Going the Distance, Big Miracle, and Miss You Already. Her debut directorial effort, Whip It, also included her. Grey Gardens was her first film. She was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as a Golden Globe Award.
